For the past 30+ years, we have mailed holiday cards to our clients and friends. We always look forward to addressing and signing the cards – often with a personal note. This is always a special time of year.
However, this year, we have decided to recommit the holiday card resources to helping those in need in downtown Boston. Many of the Winthrop Wealth team live in downtown Boston. As we walk around the city we are saddened by the proliferation of people in need that we see around the downtown Boston streets. We decided that we will help to sponsor the Christmas Eve Friday Night Supper Program at the Arlington Street Church on Boylston Street. The church has been providing meals to anyone in need every Friday night. We also have made a contribution to the Greater Boston Food Bank’s Holiday Meal Program which provides holiday meals to hungry families in need across the state. Finally, we have also made a contribution to the Bread and Roses soup kitchen to help support their mission of delivering over 50,000 meals to families in need in the Merrimack Valley. It is difficult to comprehend the rise of food insecurity in our home state and we hope that the coming year will be a little bit easier for these families in need. We know that you will understand why you will not receive a card this year from Winthrop Wealth.
During the holiday season, we take time to reflect upon the wonderful relationships we have with our clients. We are very grateful to be able to work with you and your families.
We hope that you have a wonderful, safe and healthy holiday season. We look forward to 2021 and wish you and your families good health and happiness throughout the coming year and we look forward to working with you in the years to come.
