Alexandra Balukonis serves as Associate Director of Client Communications and Marketing, where she is responsible for how the firm connects and communicates with its clients. Since joining Winthrop in 2018, Alex has built and grown the firm’s marketing and communications efforts, shaping a client experience that feels personal, consistent, and true to the values the firm stands for.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Technology from Emmanuel College and completed continuing education in Graphic Design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She further expanded her expertise with a Mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from Rutgers Business School, with a focus on social media strategy and modern marketing practice. That combination of creative training and business acumen informs everything she produces at Winthrop, where design sensibility and clear communication go hand in hand.

Outside of work, Alex is deeply committed to giving back to her community through volunteering and contributing to multiple charitable causes. She is involved with REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, a Massachusetts nonprofit that supports survivors and works to end domestic violence. In 2019, she ran the Boston Marathon, raising funds and awareness for Innovation in Breast Cancer Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, with a focus on scalp cooling treatment for patients undergoing chemotherapy. When she is not in the office, you can find her cooking, skiing, or spending time with friends and family. Alex lives in Vermont with her fiancé Britt and their lab Bridger, and they are expecting their first child in June.
